Oops, came to think of, maybe I should have posted them in the same thread since it’s directly related to that discussion, but heck, these two gorgeous flutes deserve a thread of their own.
thanks henke, good job!
nice rudall! very interesting keywork - looks like flat cups, a double touch b-flat, a pewter plug e-flat, with interlocking c#/c touches. wonder how it plays…
Very nicely! A very exceptional flute. Strong tone, hard D, but that mellow R&R tone. Eilam said that Peter Noy’s head improved the tone quite a bit. The post mount keys are very elegant.
We want to see pictures of the rest of the arsonal, like the frenchie, and the fixer uppers!
Jon
It plays so nice, has a dark tone and very tight and buzzy, it also is very lively and ready to go like a motor that is all revved up and just ready for the clutch to drop.
the head that Noy made (I send Henke 2 more pictures with the second head), plays very clear and quick, yet it still has that dark tone.
I have quite a few nice flutes, but it will take a day to photo shoot them, which I promise to do, next time work slows down.
Jon - the touch on my restored flute may fit your flute, or you could cast it in wax, and make it work for you?
