Don't fence me in

I’d give my right pinky (since I don’t use it to play anyhow) for sheet music for the old cowboy song “don’t fence me in”. ya’ know the one that starts off " I need land, lotsa land…" Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. The pinky thing is not legally binding.

I have a piano book called “For a Cowboy Has to Sing” by Jim Bob Tinsley. (My mom loves old cowboy music) Along with the piano music it has a separate line for the melody and guitar chords. It has sixty songs, all old cowboy songs from between 1905 and 1957, and Don’t Fence Me In is one of them. There are pictures and biographies about each song, too. In the middle are color poster-pictures for each song. If you really like cowboy music and that sort of thing, this is worth the money. I don’t know where you could get sheet music online, though. Good luck!

I was just reading C & F with the Simpsons on in the background…they were singing Don’t Fence me in" for a cowboy segment, ha ha

There was also a movie by the same name, so look under movie tunes in most sheet music stores/online resources.

…for the lyrics; you’ll probably have to look in a fake book for the lead sheet of the music – your local library branch can tell you if they have it.
