Can anyone provide me with the whistle tab for “Annie’s Song” by John Denver? I found the tune played on you tube but can’t find the tab. 
I suspect that the tune is still under copyright and if it was provided Dale and the Moderators might be incarcerated for aiding and abetting…
However, to get you started, d|d c# B|d3| c#3| z z BB B c# d| A F2-F3
See if you can pick it out from there. It’s a good exercise in ear training.

Gee, I wonder if you’re going to tell us why this was the song in your brain that needed worked out. Every now & then, I get a song like that too.
I heard the song played on utube and thought it really sounded good on whistle. I kept hearing it in my head over and over. Just had to figure out how to play it!

Now, if we play ‘Annies Song’ without the words, should it be renamed ‘Annies Tune’?
That’s great. It’s a good exercise to try to work out tunes like this by ear. Annie’s Song/Tune is pretty simple as compared to a jig or reel at speed but learning by ear is a very useful skill and this is a good way to start. And the best part is that all the notes you don’t get exactly as in the original can be chalked up to “the folk process”.
