Does anyone know where I can track down the recordings of Dinny Delaney.I read in a post that they were made in 1899(!!)
Interesting,I never knew that Delany was from Ballinasloe,Galway as well,did Delaney and Touhey know each other?

Touhey and Delanay probably never met although I’m sure that they knew about each other.
Touhey was born in 1865 but his family left Loughrea when he was 3.
It’s possible that Delaney (1836 - 1919) may have met Touhey’s father who was a piper too, as was his grandfather.
