Can anyone tell me the “yeahs and neahs” of Davy’s work. I am looking toward buying from him and want to hear it all.
Thank you,
Randy
I have one of Davy’s pracitce sets, I like it, sounds nice. My drones should arrive any day now (in the mail). I’l post a picture of it all when they arrive.

I’d be really interested to hear about which sets you’ve reeded…the guys who make the reeds for many makers are often in a better position to judge pipes than most of us.

Tok…In English please?
My practice set from Davy should be here this month…I’ll post some pics as soon as I can.
One thing that impresses me about Davy is his communication. I know that doesn’t necessarily reflect the quality of his pipes, but I will say this: It has never taken him longer than half a day to respond to all the questions/comments I’ve had since I placed my order. So from the business end of it he’s great.
I did alot of research before I ordered, and I feel very confident in going with Davy.

Joey,
When did you place your order?
Tony,
I guess I can’t really say the EXACT day…starting in July I was going back and forth with Davy about the specs for my set. We kind of had it honed down by the beginning of or early August. So late July/early August? He’s done a great job of keeping me updated on the progress of the set. Last week (I believe it was) he said all that was left was to fit some metalwork on the bellows and some fine turnings on the chanter.
Thanks for remembering, Tony. I’m impressed!

Tok, you’re a man of few words, and I like that. Even better, you’re a man of no words… ![]()
