Dear all:
I finally took the time to sit down and record myself playing the set. My chanter is set a little louder than the drones, but I think they still come through fairly well.
Feel free to critique my playing. I know it’s not very tight right now, but I haven’t sat down to focus on some tunes.

Good sound there Luke! BTW, our band just turned down another gig/dance at Enterprise for Feb or March. Maybe your band will get the job. We will be setting La Grande on fire March 17 though, at the 10 Depot Street Pub.
Sounds great. Best sounding Daye chanter I’ve ever heard, if you wouldn’t have told us the type of chanter I would not have thought it to be a penny chanter but a wooden one.

It’s actually a wooden penny-chanter. There’s a stepped bore, just like the actual penny-chanter, but it’s cocobolo.
Nice tone from what I can tell. Cocobolo, my favorite!
Do you have a pic? I’d like to see it. Love the sound. I built a penny-chanter from scratch, and that sounds a lot better. Although, I haven’t exactly figured out what I might have done wrong with mine.
Thanks for the compliments.
Lorenzo, what a small world 'tis! We do have the Enterprise gig! You should come on down anyways, and we’ll have a little two person tionol!
