Dance Music of Willie Clancy

Does anyone know where to find a copy of the book “The Dance Music of Willie Clancy”? I used to have a copy, then stupidly gave it away. Now I am unable to locate a copy or find the publisher.

I’d also be interested in finding a copy of the book “Dance Music of Patsy Touhey” (if that’s the correct title). Can anyone direct me in the right direction?

Abe’s books have two copies for 74 resp. 140 USD if you’re desperate

They pop up on ebay every once in a while. I’ve seen about 3 or 4 in the last year or two. Checking there often is probably your best bet if you’re patient. You can save a search field and ebay while contact you by email when something comes up that matches.

I found my copy on Amazon. It took a while, but eventually a used copy became available.

Couldn’t find Mitchell & Small’s “The piping of Patsy Touhey” They soon go out of print these books, best to buy them at once. Bernard Flaherty’s “Trip to Sligo” seems also to be out of print too. I’m considering buying Bigio’s Rudall & Rose book which is very expensive, but seems very interesting and will probably go out of print in a couple of years time. Don’t forget to get Pat Mitchell’s “The dance music of Séamus Ennis” while it’s still available

I picked up a new copy of the Clancy book in Cork 4 or 5 years ago. If you are in Ireland, have a look at some second-hand book shops.

Also, Munroe Bridges Books usually has a stall at the Pipers Gathering in Vermont. They might have what you’re looking for or they might be able to find it.

Try your local public library. My library was able to get a copy on an interlibrary loan. A couple of hours with a scanner and printer got me a copy. (I don’t condone pirating copyrighted works, but I think this is OK for personal use. I would have gladly purchased a new copy if one was available).
