this seller has Willie as the author! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Clancy-Willie-Dance-Music-of-Willie-Clancy-Book-/321292547449?pt=Non_Fiction&hash=item4ace873579 now I know he was clever, but this was published AFTER Willie passed away.

I don’t think you can expect someone working for a bookseller, entering items on ebay, to know the biographical detail of every author or subject of the books for sale. And even if Willie had been the author, books get published posthumously. The worst sin here is making a slightly sloppy bibliographic description. It happens all the time.
that’s a lot of money - i’d expect to pay about £20-25 for a copy if it was reprinted
On-line booksellers often look for silly money.
See here
There’s one on Amazon Germany though for under €10, plus postage: here.
[Added:] Well, that cheap one didn’t last long

Online media sellers (books, CDs, ect.) are known for jacking up the price many hundreds of a percent over retail as soon as something goes out of print. I guess they figure that it’s worth gambling that one person who wants it REALLY badly will come along and pay that amount.
Actually the sellers often use algorithms to determine value, which can get out of hand, to put it mildly: Amazon’s $23,698,655.93 book about flies. ![]()
Recent discussions were that this book had sold for up to £150 recently, due to being out of print. I hope NPU can reprint, too valuable a work to become rarified

That would seem not very clever as there are stacks of copies available for a lot less, not to mention the one I brought up earlier that was available for under €10 (and sold just about immediately after I posted the link). A bit of patience and keeping an eye on all sources should get you one. People paying £150 have no sense, or too much money on their hands.
