Until recently I’ve been getting along quite nicely with G-mail, Google’s version of e-mail, but lately it seems that 1) my outgoing messages aren’t being delivered, and/or 2) return messages aren’t getting back to me.
Could anybody else be having such troubles, or could I be alone in that regard?
Or it could be that someone is spamming from gmail, and the gmail mail transport server IP ranges are being blocked, or blacklisted by one of the black hole lists.
As I’ve explained to Denny, I am not a computer genius, so when something goes apparently wrong, I’m then left to do my own “cloud” computing, not good.
Anyway, it’s sad to learn that gmail could be quirky, but it’s at least good to know that I’m not alone, in that regard.
One thing I have noticed of late is that a lot of the Spam that went straight into the Spam Bin is now getting into my mailbox directly…hassle having to clean it out every other day as opposed to cleaning out the Spam Bin once a month.
Mine has been fine…but then I don’t use my as my main email account. I did find that a reply wouldn’t send yesterday, but would if I started a whole new email, but I thought maybe it was because the email conversation had gotten too long? But what do I know? Computer savvy I am not
I use gmail for the same reason as cork, and I haven’t been having any problems lately. Occasionally, intended email recipients do not get my messages. I have assumed that the emails are going directly to their spam folders. I try to circumvent this by communicating through ebay or another free service, such as Yahoo.com. I do notice that I am getting a lot more spam than I did when I first started using gmail. I make it a practice of reviewing my spam folder before I delete the contents. Sometimes I find important “I want to buy” messages hiding in my spam file. What really gipes me is when I receive a “I want to buy” email, and the people who sent the email are not able to receive my reply no matter how I send it. If you can’t communicate, then you can’t do business.
