It’s not a definite, but in a recent email, Dave Copley said he was “field testing” a keyed flute, with silver keys made by his magnificent wife (partner? ally? buddy?). Anyway, keep an eye out on his website, he said he’ll make a web change when they’re available for sale! Whooo hooooo!

Yes, I can confirm the rumors - Marlene is indeed all of the things you mentioned (wife, partner, ally, buddy). With all of the work on forging of silver keys, she has also developed the ability to deliver powerful and accurate blows with a 32 ounce forging hammer, so I am now super-careful what I say about her.
