You sick b******d. I’ve got such a serious case of the drools my lips are chapped! I don’t suppose anyone will have the foresight to bring a digital recorder (?).
Right good idea as in the recorder thing!
Problem is im doin a stupid course in tallaght till 5pm which i cant get out of, and the traffic getting out of dublin these days is brutal so i wont get a chance to stop off at my auld pairs gaff to borrow their camcorder, im gonna have to put the boot down the whole way straight to the gig and arrive in with a big sweaty red face after its started while everybody looks round to see what eegit just came in!!
if i can sort out a camcorder between now and then i will.
by the way. the gig is near ballyconnell, its just off the new by-pass between belturbet and enniskillen(but closer to ballyconnell).
I didnt get a recorder in the end, but some people behind me managed to record the whole thing and i exchanged addresses with them so they are going to make me a copy of it onto a dvd or something.
That is to say they recorded all the gig except for Liam oflynn as he didnt want any recording done. so (ahem) they(ahem, cough cough) put the lens cap over the camera for his bit!(ahem).
Peter Browne is also an excellent piper (besides being a producer of excellent radio shows on RTÉ). I am not familiar, but do you know what the differences are with the recording as to whether it is in PAL or NTSC format, or can the same DVD data be used for both formats?
