Here is a new model!
Based on my Boosey Eb flute. The Boosey was made in the 1920’s, so the tuning is spot on for 440 htz. This flute is made of Delrin and silver.
I haven’t figured out how to have it interchange with a D body yet, as the whole flute is scaled down, not just one section. (After all I am not very good in the math department, went surfing instead.)
People always seem to enjoy a good Eb flute and say they are so responsive and fun to play. Now you did it, you’ll have those Eb fluters tracking you down too!
The intonation is good and the bottom end it strong. on the B3, R3 (little hole at the bottom…) The interesting thing about the tuning, the R2 note (F# in D flutes) and the bell note is not flat.
i thought this too when i first read it… i think he means R2 is the highest open hole (rather than covered hole, which would be R1) – that’s what sounds the F#, like E is sounded when only the R3 hole is open and D is sounded when no holes are open (or all holes are covered).
