Come West Along the Road - RTE DVD

I could have sworn I’d just recently read a post about this, but multiple searches didn’t bring it to light.

I just got to see/hear this gem (actually still in process behind me). It’s a collection of bits from the archives of early broadcasts (from 1961 - 1986) of the RTE Program “Come West Along the Road”. Wonderful stuff! Dancers, singers, and just plain great music!

Netflix has it.

first or the second?
cause there are 2 DVDs

dunno… no reference as to there being more than one - looks like the release date for this one is '07.

If there’s another, i want to see it too.

covers of both
mighty stuff

Just got it for christmas and it’s great!
Well worth the purchase. Great clip of the late Des O’Connor playing the whistle. I love the clip of Liam Rowsome playing fiddle behind a song from Triona Ni Domhnaill. Mighty stuff!
