Amazon lists this as discontinued by the maufacturer. Anyone know if it’s just RTE figuring out how to describe/price/et cetera the DVD? It was released less than a week ago, but the first one was pretty fantastic. Anyone with an inside (or insight)?

Shouldn’t this DVD be titled Vol 3? What happened to the first (and best) one, the one with Willie Clancy on the cover?

The best/first one only came out on VHS. It is no longer available. Like many RTÉ products, the DVDs seem to have a short shelf life. CWAR DVD 1 and 2 have been available for a while now, so if you find anybody with them still in stock grab them before they’re gone.

You’d better include a VHS player with that. For when they’re all occupying garbage dumps. (Okay – I admit it. I own a Laserdisc player. But hey – you can only get Until the End of the World on LD or VHS and DUNE looks spectacular on LD)
OH that’s scary, the original Dune on Laser Disc. Hmmm, I could go as fremen to the So cal Tionol 
Very few people have VHS players now, which makes it even more valuable.
I have a copy back in the UK and it’s $20 cheaper than Pat’s, unless his price is $20.

I don’t know what triggers Amazon listing things as “discontinued by the manufacturer” but I have at least one item listed on Amazon which is so described by them, that I am still purchasing wholesale direct from the manufacturer.
