Ceird an Cheoil

There’s a new 6 part series coming up on TG4 about instrument making.
The first part was about button accordion making, the piano is next. It’s on every sunday night at 10.00
Don’t worry if you miss it, it’ll be on video a couple of days after, probably in the Ceol or Faisnéis department on TG4 web tv.

:boggle: Are you feeling all right djm??
Do you realise you just have been promoting an accordion???

I think you’re playing an accordion somewhere in deep secret…congratulations!

Now, you just take that back! :swear:

I am curious about the construction of instruments, so I will be following his series, and thanx for pointing it out.

Don’t pack it in now djm, perseverance, persistence, and determination are the keys to playing accordion. It’s also a highly soficticated instrument containng up to 1500 parts.

And it’s about time you did something about that avatar of yours

You look much smarter like this!

Well that seems to have worked, djm’s gone practicing on his accordion again

I have a bento box for lunch. Is that close enough?

:really:

Loved the show, though it didn´t really delve that deeply into the making of the instrument. Probably a wise choice as I see they´re doing one on the piano, and I can´t see how you could fit that into a half-hour program.

Hope they do one on the shaky egg!
Im still convinced there is a farm somewhere that force-feeds hens doses of plastic-coated rice!

I certainly hope they do one on curried chips. Mmmmmm.
