BBC 2 NI Ceird an Cheoil

There was just a really good programme on BBC 2 Norther Ireland about making Uilleann pipes. Caihmoin O Raighmain (apologies for spelling) was the main part of the programme. Geoff Woof was featured talking about pipes , Ronan Browne , Kevin Rowsome and a few others were playing. You may be able to watch on bbc iplayer.

Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh.

Could this be the fabled C set that he made under the guidance of Geoff Wooff? Damn Wunderkinds…

…And BBC iPlayer only works for those of you out there that live within the UK…For the rest of us, keep your eyes out for it on YouTube…

Please some good british soul, upload it to youtube!
(or emule :smiling_imp: )

What was the title of the program? I can’t seem to find it under BBC2.

This user has uploaded the other programmes to Youtube.

The will probably do the same with the piping programme.

See what this can do

Someone please upload this to YouTube!!

Might be possible if you went through a proxy server in the UK someting like the TOR network system which is to add security to your connection and make it difficult to trace where you are. Have just read about this in a PC mag and wonder if anybody knows more about this ?

I have the programme Ceird An Cheoil TG4 (Uilleann Pipes) recorded on Video tape.

I will need to copy the video to DVD which I will do tomorrow Monday on 8 December 2008. I will then up load the programme on youtube later.

Cheers

Great news, can’t wait.

Thanks, Fergus! I’ve been wanting to see this for months!

Also, everyone should check out the show “Faoi Lán Cheoil” on the TG4 website. Nothing to do with pipes, but the most recent episode features Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh teaching Jeremy Irons how to play the fiddle. It’s excellent!

Thanks for going through the trouble Fergus, I was really looking forward to this programme.

Here are 2 vids from Fergus.

David

I also have another programme from RTE Leargas “More Power To Your Elbow” about Uilleann Pipes. Do You want me to upload this to youtube .
