The official C&F t-shirts and other stuff provider, http://www.cafepress.com/chiffandfipple, won’t ship to my country. Does anyone have this and this logo in hi-res or smth, so I can ask some local t-shirt provider to make prints?
I would also like to send a wave of hate to those shops who dont have the balls to write “we ship to US and EU only (english-speaking world only, those who write in latin letters only, white only, etc)” on the website, but just cancel the orders they get from Russia, Ukraine or some other sort of Zimbabwe.
Even when you find a US company that will ship abroad, they won’t accept a credit card from outside the US.
For my daughter’s birthday present we have a complicated arrangement with a friend in South Carolina.
And I have to post them A (Batman) Joker Lego figure in return. It’s a strange world.
Well, that hate was not for “US only” shops - that’s OK, folks don’t want to deal with export and stuff. But when they do, it’s tecnically more or less the same to ship to UK, Australia, Russia or Zimbabve. But some decide that it’s OK to deal with UK and Australia, but not with Russia. And that’s still fine when they tell you that before placing the order.
Here they have “yes, we do ship worldwide” on the website, they have the full list of world countries in the order form, and Russia is there. They even accepted the credit card issued by Russian bank, the transaction went OK and these money are still in “reserved” state in my account. And then they just cancel the order and don’t even say why until I write to them myself.
That sounds like misleading advertising to me. It might be possible to have the companies prosecuted for that. I know who you would contact in the UK, but not in the US.
Anyone know who should be contacted for this? If they are forced to amend their web-page, it would be something.
Anyway, I do believe that if they have it on their site, that they ship to Russia, it is indeed misleading advertisement. I know how to solve it here, but internationally, it may be a problem. Maybe some US organization would be interested in that.
Hell yes! Yes, comrade, that’s what they are! But their time is passing, now we come! Let’s sing together!
I will sing:
An you will sing:
Již vzhůru psanci této země,
již vzhůru všichni, jež hlad zhnět!
Teď právo duní v jícnu temně
a výbuch zahřmí naposled.
Od minulosti spějme zpátky,
otroci, vzhůru k cílům svým!
Již chví se světa základ vratký,
my ničím nejsme, buďme vším!
And all others will sing:
Arise, you prisoners of starvation!
Arise, you wretched of the earth!
For justice thunders condemnation:
A better world’s in birth!
No more tradition’s chains shall bind us,
Arise you slaves, no more in thrall!
The earth shall rise on new foundations:
We have been nought, we shall be all!
Yes, it’s a matter of principle - be it bringing happines and peace to the common people, or getting a T-Shirt (and in my case, a C&F Teddybear ).
But thanks anyway - I didn’t know about that store…although it means giving money to…THEM
But at least it’s for a good reason (Chiffandfipple is a good reason). If it was a store with anything else - to arms I say! Take a hunting rifle of your father, and let’s march, let’s sing, and let’s distribute the goods we confiscate on the Great march (could be a good name for it though, if it happened ).
I saw coffee mugs, but what about a C&F Travel Mug shaped like a giant Fipple? And “tunable” / “telescoping” or different pitches to adjust for coffee (or whiskey) volume, Soprano D Model -12 oz., Alto F Model -16 oz., or Tenor Low D Model -24 oz, and available in PVC, Delrin (assorted colors), Aluminum, Brass, or assorted exotic natural woods (with 20 coats of poly, of course).
