Busking In France

I considering taking my narrowboat over to France this summer, after ‘The First Annual Floating Tionol’ (Come on you waverers book on to the last few places).

You can have a canal boat taken over the channel in the back of a lorry, on a ferry. apparently the liveaboard life over there is great.

Anyway we want to cruise around in the summer months so I am looking at trying to make a living busking, with a costume, CD’s to sell etc. On the street and in cafes etc. Anyone tried it over there? Any hints and tips.

yeh ive tryed it a few years ago in bordo not sure that spellings right, but any way was playing in a bar over there for a couple of weeks and went buskin a couple of times, didnt make any money but alot of people would stand and look at the pipes, but wouldnt have over the lolly.also a hint make sure you have your passport or some i.d. with you i think its a law over there you have to carry it.but its a nice place and the wheathers great, and the ladies :boggle: ?

Danny,

‘The Connemara’ was it?? A bar of ill repute!!

Alan

Danny, did you try going round with a hat after a few tunes, or wait for drops?

I’m off for Easter for a trial run, so I’ll let you know how it went.
