beginner

I’m a self-taught pennywhistler that loves uilleann pipes.

Looking for info. How much are lessons usually? Would I start out by using the instructor’s set at the the lesson? Any other tips?

I’m in LA(N.H’wood), any teachers reading this please contact me.

Thanks, Kalin, countrytoad@hotmail.com

By all means you come to the SoCal Uilleann Pipers’ Club meeting on Sunday, March 2. There will be lots of pipers there willing to help you get started. I’ve e-mailed you an e-vite.

Regards,

Larry Dunn

Hi Kalin,

I live in Woodland Hills, between Topanga and Shoup. I won’t be able to make it to the S.C.U.P.C. meeting this weekend due to me playing a few gigs in St. Paul, Minnesota, but I would be glad to show you the odd thing on the pipes.

You need to get your hands on a set if you are to learn and progress. There are some great sets popping up regularly here on this message board via eBay. The Bruce DuVey set looks very nice?!?!?!

Talk to you soon,

Patrick.
