Nice set. It’s a Gallagher B 1/2 set for those feeling less-than-click inclined. 1/2 sets in B don’t come up too often and Seth is no longer making them.
It looks very nice. I’ve played 2 Gallagher B chanters and liked them both very much. This one has silver ferrules and AA mounts. Very nice. The starting price is very low for a Gallagher B 1/2 set.
Seth seems to be offering only D and C sets. However, I’ve never heard or seen a C set made by SG.
I have reeded a C stick by Seth, a charming and sweet chanter it is too.
I should also mention that I have a Gallagher B half-set. They really do have a nice tone and the finger stretch is a non-issue. I really notice almost no difference when switching between D and the B.
Doc Jones has a SG 4 keyed C chanter for sale (I believe). 'Twas my chanter + a reed I made. The chanter is excellent.
If Seth is no longer making B pipes, who would be a good candidate to make regulators to add to this set?
