Yea! This is what we’ve been waiting for–the time when lots of good second hand sets of pipes start showing up for sale. You gotta know it’s going to happen. Many people just won’t learn to play them and lots of people will simply be moving on. This set sound okay, as does the Lynch/Britton set on ebay.
Thanks Tony for looking them all up. I must confess I don’t watch for them all that much anymore. Good to have someone on top of things.
but why so close to Tax time in the states?? Or maybe that’s the reason???
Tax time? Geez…every day is tax time for me! Here’s an interesting OT read.

The seller, also having the Lynch chanter for sale on ebay, is a composer, with an experimental twist, and sounds like a pretty good fiddler (or piper?) playing with another piper… listen to some clips at the bottom of his website, 2nd last section:

Lovely playing and a very nice sounding set of pipes!
Patrick.
Reading the advert on NPU for the Lynch chanter it becomes clear that the seller in Tim Benson who is the piper on the tunes linked earlier by elbogo, the fiddler McTague is the lad with the website, the fixation with maths and doing the composing.
The ebay description also says Benson is selling this set to fund a set in B. Sounds like he should have the Robbie Hannan impersonation going pretty well on a B.
