Seth Gallagher's Updated Website

Be sure and click on “RAVES from the PROS, SOUND CLIPS and more photos, here.” and listen to Paddy Maloney talking and Jimmy O’Brien-Moran palying the B pipes. Seth is now estimating delivery time to be 10 months for D pipes. He must be swamped with work.

I’m starting to advance the CD everytime the D pipes come on…on Jimmy’s album, and Brian Macs too. Mick O’Brien’s May Morning Dew is the only album where I leave the D pipes playing..I wonder why. I wonder what’s happening to me.

Has anyone played Seth Gallagher’s B pipes? Or, do you know of anyone who has? I’d be interested in a review. I wonder if Jimmy O’B-M actually bought a set or just posed for an endorsement. $4975 seems pretty cheap for a 3/4 set of uilleann “B” pipes. I like the idea of the 3/4 setup, esp if you are medium height with avg arm length. The bass reg reed cap doesn’t have to restrict the placement of the regs up and down by hitting the arm.

Anyone have anything +/- to say about Touch Me If You Dare - Browne & O’Loughlin, or The Southwest Wind - Browne & O’Loughlin? Do these albums have B pipes?

Ronan plays his Harrington B set on Touch Me If You Dare. Can’t recall for sure about South West Wind. Both are, of course, excellent albums, but there is a bit less flash than on The Wynd You Know (which also had B stuff).
