I’m looking for a nice instructor in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I have a bamboo flute that plays quite well, according to my flute playing friends. Now, I just need to get to a point where I can play it too!
I’ve been working at it on my own. I can almost always play a sound from the low D to the second register G… almost always. Some days, I can’t ., but, most days, I can at least get a sound from it.
But, I am not sure if I am making things harder on myself in the long run. Might I be learning some bad habits on my own?
Thanks, guys!
Sorry to dig out this old topic but I recently moved to Vancouver and I’m looking for an Irish flute teacher. I’ve been learning for one year and took lessons from a classical flute player. What I’m mostly interested in is developing a good and flexible tone.
I’d also be happy to hear about sessions in the city (for now I just want to come and listen).
