Friday, January 3rd, my wife brought our mail in, and in it for me was a pink slip that I had a package I needed to sign for. Thinking it was most likely the Bocote Busman D I had been waiting for, my heart raced… only to sink to my stomache when I realized it was past our local Post Office’s closing time. Saturday morning we both slept in late and, by the time we were up and about it was noon and the Post Office was again closed! What an interminable wait I endured until Monday morning when I finally got to the Post Office, picked up my package, rushed home, and opened it to find my absolutely beautiful new whistle!!!
Due to working midnights and not being off all week, I haven’t had hardly any time to play this new treasure yet, but I’m on vacation these next 9 days so it shall get one heck of a workout, indeed. I can say, though, that Paul Busman’s craftsmanship easily rivals that of Chris Abell and Glenn Schultz. My Bocote D is a truly stunning looking instrument. The Bocote has a yellowish-brown hue, with strongly defined grain patterns.
Can’t write much more yet, untill I play, play, play it!!! As soon as my better-half wakes up. ![]()
Now the anticipation of the arrival of my Elfsong is starting to gnaw away at me - curse this damned WhOA!!!
