Airplane Flight Patterns over the USA

I can see where I live! I can see where I live!

Cripes! My travel heebeegeebees just went up a notch or seven!!! :astonished:

APOD mentions this version too–

It has the same information presented in some different ways, including one that looks like glitter and one that looks like blobs of water boiling out of a pot.

All that humanity in motion reminds me of the traffic scenes in the movie Koyaanisqatsi

Wow!! found it on You-Tube.

Part 5
starts out w/ clouds and buildings-- flowing traffic at the end

Part 6
flowing traffic, then people on escalators, hot-dog machines, … :boggle:

You will notice the particular lack of air traffic to and from Wyoming. If only it showed covered wagon traffic, we’d be getting somewhere.

Who’d want to go there without being forced to?

Actually, I’ve always harbored a secret desire to live there! But I doubt I’d find a job at my age…

Consider that the data was from March 2005. That’s school break time, so it is reasonable to see Florida light up like that. Wyoming in March, on the other hand, well …

You might be onto something there.

ElPollo, lots of people would agree with you. That’s why we’re Wyoming and not Colorado.

Poor Canada! No aeroplanes over Canada!

naw…they’re there
Vancouver, Toronto, Quebec, (and I think) Edmonton & Calgary

We’re big on transporters, though.

That was weird. The sudden burst of incoming from the northeast…like fireworks.
