I can’t use it! 
It does not support the Apple platform. Oh well…maybe it’s just as well. I’ve been spending far too much time online anyway 
My home area is pretty fuzzy, but I can spot everything larger than a house. I flew to Bishop’s Lodge in Santa Fe and was able to pick out all the details where we stayed, and show them to friends.

I wonder why different swatches have different textures to them. last night I commented to Tyghre that I was flying over Ireland and ‘there are CLOUDS there’. He of course deadpanned “Fancy that.” So why clouds in some places but not in others?
What you’re seeing in the Google Earth program is a patchwork of satellite images. They aren’t live–aren’t in real time–they vary in age and in quality and in resolution For example, the one for my neighborhood, which is excellent quality, is missing a grocery store that opened about 6 months ago. That’s the answer to the cloud thing, too. Happened to be cloudy the day that image was taken by the satellite.
One way cool thing you can do with Google Earth is pick a spot on the earth, zoom sort of medium-way, “tilt” the image, a bit and then kind-of “pull” the image with your mouse and let it go, it will start traveling and you can sit and watch the places go by.
Also, take a look at the Sahara, particularly gorgeous shots.
Some areas have elevation data, the Grand Canyon for instance, so you can fly right through it. Some cities also have building outlines so you can see opaque boxes the shape of downton.
