Air

I had some requests for the air that’s on the first Fling album but without the keyboards. So recorded it again and this time with my Williams chanter instead of the Roberts and I thought I’d share it here aswell.

Enjoy,
Evertjan

Absolutely gorgeous… next on my list of aires to learn…

Ah, that was lovely. Thanks!

I will listen to it as soon as I get home. Thanks!

that’s grand

Mighty stuff altogether!! Well done!

Beautiful!

Such a gorgeous and elegantly simple tune, I had to learn it.

Here’s a quick recording I put together this morning of the tune on my Koehler/Quinn 3/4 flat set in C:

Interesting to compare the sound of the flat set with Evertjan’s original version on the concert set…

Cheers,

Michael

Well done lads!

Neil

by the way, where is the notation for that tune? Is it in Waltons/

As seen on a park bench on Music Row here in Nashville…

"It’s music! Use your ears…not your eyes!

I’m afraid not, it’s an original not a traditional…

Well done Michael and thanks for sharing it.
And yes, this is indeed a good example of how different the feel and mood is when a tune is played on a flat or concert pitch set. I like the ancient sound of the flat set very much. On the other hand I also like the ‘Rock and Roll’ feel of concert pitch…

All the best,
Evertjan

Ah, you see, Evertjan, this is another reason you ought to think
about reissuing the band’s first CD!!

Cheers
