Ah, The Blue and the Green--what a night of music!!

Every now and then I think it is time to get out of New York City. Then I experience a night like tonight–Blue Highway and Cherish the Ladies at Town Hall. High points? Too numerous to cite, though when CTL Guitarist Mary Coogan’s father and Joanie Madden’s father both came up on the stage with their accordeens, that was especially fine; not to mention, when Doborist Rob Ickes joined in with CTL and selected dads, that was equally fine. Also, Joanie played a new tune (The Hills of New Zealand) that I hope iwll make it onto the next ablum.

I figure two, maybe three, more lifetimes of total dedication to music, I could get to maybe 1/10th of where these folks are musically.

If this double bill comes your way–Blue Highway and CTL–try not to miss it!!

With batteries recharged, my best wishes go out to the C & F Crowd,

Tom Dowling
