Wondering if any of you fellow Californians know of shops that either specialize in accordions or at the very least carry some? I am specifically looking for piano accordions since I have neither the time nor the wherewithal to learn the concertina or button ones… Also, I ask this question on the off chance I will ever need repair or spare parts for my aging Hohner!
I live in Southern California, but I am not opposed to taking the odd trip up north at some point either if there is something in the Bay Area worth checking out…

proprietor dave caballero has been at this location for decades. in addition to being an accordion virtuoso, composer, arranger and teacher of adults and kids, he is an accordion technician, tuner, engineer & dealer. oh, and a lovely person as well. his wife veronica teaches dance at this location and plays mandolin when dave does french musette gigs. i have purchased more than one box from him, took lessons there for a while and consider these folks cherished friends. you might call first to confirm hours because they float around a bit.
