Abell, Burke, Chieftain, Kerry Pro for sale - time to pay th

Hi folks -
So, good old Chris here is still gainfully unemployed so it’s time to sell some whistles. Interested buyers should contact me offlist by e-mail at chrislaughlin@alumni.hamilton.edu or by phone at (617)718-1588. If you’d like me to play an instrument for you over the phone I’ll be more than happy to.
Here’s what’s on the plate:

  • Abell C, D, Eb set - one headjoint with three bodies. Headjoint and D body are rosewood. C and Eb bodies are blackwood. Bands, tuning slide and part of the mouthpiece are silver. Come with a soft padded case. Other Abell owners who have tried these tell me they’re the best they’ve tried. I agree. These whistles are absolutely beautiful sounding, equally beautiful looking, and play exquisitely. Price - $550 for the set.

  • Burke Al-Pro Session D -
Mike’s whistle are gems. Bright, pure, loud and extremely responsive. This whistle is a great player and in top notch shape.
    Price - $80

-Chieftain Bass Bb - This is one mighty whistle! It has one of the most incredible sounds I’ve ever heard out of any instrument ever, and once you get the hang of it it plays like a charm. I’d recommend pretty big hands for it but I was able to handle it with a little work. One heck of a whistle!
Price - $150

-Kerry Pro tunable low-D -
This is an absolutely gorgeous handmade, tunable low D by Phil Kerry. I’ve owned two low D Copelands, a low D Overton, a low D Burke, a low D O’Riordan, and I’ve played nearly everything else and this is my favorite by far. I hate to give it up. Phil is no longer able to make these because of his injury. I love this whistle.
Price - $190

There we have it. These are all superb whistles, the end product of 5 years of searching for the best. Give them a good home.
Chris

Geeze Chris,

NOW you sell the Abell set, right when I can’t afford it! You’ve got some nerve dude…

Sorry Loren! Maybe nobody else will want them and you can buy them later
They are extremely good whistles! Geeze, this hurts…
Chris

drooling…Is the Burke Al-Pro Session model the one that’s aluminum and has that bulge near the top?

Brent

Hi Brent,
Indeed it is.
Chris

The Abells have found a new owner. It sounds like I’m talking about the One Ring here doesn’t it?
Chris

I would really Love to get my hands on that Bb butI really cant afford that much…

You don’t think you might be able to drop the price do you?

Nico

Can you tell me more about this whistle. Is it a regular Soprano D whistle? Is it brass or aluminum (or other material)? Do you have a case for it? Are there any pictures available?

Cheers
Gerry

Sorry Gerry,
The Burke is his soprano D in aluminum. I don’t have a case for it. Ihaven’t been able to find any pictures of it anywhere.
Best,
Chris
