Cal Olson and his lovely wife Vicki paid the Hoover home (and shop) a visit Sunday afternoon and stayed the night. We were up late playing and talking and having a great time. What a fun and lively couple they are, and couldn’t be sweeter. Some of you know that Cal plays music for Christian worship, and has a radio show that is a ministry to kids. That must be why it’s called HIS Kids Radio. (Note that’s Capital HIS).
Well Cal walked away with a couple of new “free” whistles and a taped interview of yours truely and some pictures of this whistlemaker and his shop. I guess he’ll have to explain what’s going to become of it all.
Did I tell you how far they drove to “drop in”? They live in Grand Rapids! Well, they were in Nebraska for a wedding, but that’s still a long way. I can hardly believe the good fortunes whistles have exposed me too!
Still am amazed!
