10 hole Mountain Ocarina Tabs? - Help!

I got my 10 hole mountain ocarina (G) in the mail yesterday, but upon looking around the internet I was upset to see a complete lack of tabs for the instrument.

Does anyone know where there is tabs for a 10 hole?

Thanks

I never noticed a whole lot of tablature out there for ocarinas of any kind. I approached the problem from the other direction. I used the fingering charts and standard notation so I didn’t have to deal with the lack of tab or having to translate things into tab. It takes a little more work up front if you don’t read standard notation, but in the long run it makes a lot more music accessable, IMO.

I produced tabs for some various kinds of ocarina, however, I’ve never had access to a Mountain Ocarina, so was unable to develop tabs for its peculiar fingerings.

If I recal your instrament is from susato. I would try contacting them for information.

Have a look at the files and archives here. Don’t be afraid to ask the many Ocarina makers at this site for help.

I got a 12 hole Zelda for Christmas. Yippee. I’m not a big fan of tab, except for Guitar Chords. I’m figuring out the ocarina without any sheet music or tab of any kind. I did print the fingering diagram but I’m not even using that. Half-holing seems to work OK.
