Your shoe is untied

Happy April Fool’s Day.

I met my wife on this day 33 years ago. I always forget to pull a prank because it’s become a romantic holiday for us.

Although we had corresponded by email and telephone for a couple of months, my wife and I also met each other for the first time in person on April Fool’s Day in 2006. Her sisters had warned her about meeting someone from the internet, fearing that he might be a serial killer, but my wife took a chance and agreed to meet me at McDonald’s, a safe public place. A few months after our first meeting, we began to live together, and just a little over a year later we were married. So April Fool’s Day is a romantic holiday for us, too.

I’ll take Doug’s “began to live together” for 21.
