Yaarrrgh! I'm sending my kid to Panama!

And the real question, as I sit here booking flights and all the other sorts of homefront management that must be accomplished since she’s still embroiled in her Spring semester is…Why don’t I get to go??

She’s taking a 4 week course, at a Bocas del Toro research station,
called Tropical Rain Forest and Canopy Ecology, and gets bio credits for it.

Oh. I thought you’d finally had it, and Panama was the solution.

As long as that’s all she gets down there. I hope you’ve lined her up for all the shots she’ll need.

Spiders! Ticks! Leeches! Vampire bats! Fleas the size of parakeets!

Will check. Thanks.

Four weeks in a rain forest canopy vs staying here and talking to us?

Lock her in a closet and steal her ID,

What was the problem?

That’ll be one of the great experiences of her life!
My senior year of college, I spent 3 weeks prior to the beginning of fall semester at the Bermuda Biology Station and it was incredible. Doing real science in a real, operating lab surrounded by other scientists from all over the world. I wish your daughter well.
