After 15 years without a true vacation-

Ooh, Myrtle Beach! My grandparents used to have a house there, just minutes from the seaside. I remember lugging big buckets of shells back home as a 5 year old!
You’ll love it. Enjoy! And if you see a big house on …think it was Yaurpon Circle or something like that… with a river behind it, take a photo for me! 
Ahhhhh, I have to admit I’m jealous! Play a tune or two whilst thinking of us, ok? And have FUN!!! 
Could that river have been the Intercoastal Waterway? I’ll look for the house.
The weather forcast is lousy but it’s the only time I could get a week off so we’re going. Heck, a rainy day on the ocean is better than working.
I’m not sure - I haven’t been there since I was about 10. All I knew was I didn’t want to catch any fish.
I think the house was a single level. I remember an attached garage, a huge yard out back with a deck for fishing on the river, a large main room and a built in ladder on the wall in the main room, it went up about 15-20 feet to a trap door, and there was a sunlit loft there with toy chests and a railing to look down on the main room…
sigh I wanted to buy that house. It would have been perfect for testing paper airplanes.
Googled! It was “yaupon circle”, but that doesn’t help much…
My older son worked for the Park Service there one summer, when I was stationed at Ft. Bragg in the mid-70s. My wife and I drove down there for a weekend, and it was quite interesting.
