Like so many others, I have come to the conclusion that life without a Jeffries isn’t worth living. If you’ve got one for sale somewhere in the US, I’d love to know about it!
-I live in central VA, and I’m willing to travel to try out the concertina
-I love the Jeffries tone, but I’m mostly interested in response. So! If you’ve got a really awesome Crabbe/Ball Beavon/John Connor with Wheatstone reeds/Dipper etc., I’d also be interested. I haven’t played any new instruments that grabbed me the way the Jeffries I’ve played have, but maybe I just haven’t played the right one?
-I’d have to play the instrument before I buy it, so that means either traveling or getting the instrument for a loan for a week
-I’d also consider a 28b, though I’d really miss that low F…
My current concertina is Kensington no. 019, which I would consider trading along with $$$ if the buyer was interested in that
