WTB - Casey Burns Folk Flute

Hello everyone.

I am looking to buy a Casey Burns Folk Flute. Since there is a waiting list for them directly from the maker, I was wondering if anyone had one they were looking to sell.

Other beginner/cheaper flute models of similar quality interest me as well. I have been looking into tipple and other makers.

I am a whistler player wanting to work on the flute embouchure, and I would like to start on a reasonably priced, quality instrument.

:sunglasses: Thanks a lot. :sunglasses:

I ordered a folk flute last week and have been told it should be delivered mid-April.

Surely you can wait til then?

I just bought myself a Hamilton Practice Flute from the Irish Flute Store ($95US only took a week to receive) to do just the same as you, get a try at the flute after playing whistle. It’s inexpensive, and I think will serve me well for that purpose. Still lots of work to do before I can tell how good it is from an experienced player pov, for now a week later, I can get some sound out of it, and play simple tunes slowly in both octave but still lots of work ahead before I can say I am close to be comfortable. It looks like a low whistle rather than like a flute, but I don’t mind, at this stage I was looking for the effect not the look. It will be a while before I am ready to ‘show off’ , so I think this was a good choice for me.
