Looking to buy a flute! =-P

In the past, I have had luck posting to find a flute, so I thought I’d try again. I was wondering if anyone had a reasonably-priced flute that they are looking to sell. Flutes I’m interested in are: Tony Dixon 3-piece, CB Folk Flute, Sweetheart, Mark Hoza, M&E, Tipple. Before going to retail prices, I was wondering if anyone had a flute of this general price-range that they are looking to sell. Thanks so much!

Last Spring I bought a Folk Flute from a C&F member, but never learned it and had to sell for financial reasons. I have since learned to play with a bamboo piccolo that I had sitting around from a farmers market. I’m ready to try an Irish flute now that I can play tunes on the piccolo.

Ones for sale right now… ask what she wants for it.

I was thinking of selling my Tipple D 8-hole flute. It is a two-piece
flute with offset fingerholes, which made back when Doug was
applying contact paper to the flute to jazz it up a bit. This flute’s
contact paper has a wooden look. I also got the Tipple-Fajardo
Wedge, which I have permenantly glued inside the head. It came
with a grey corduroy carrying bag. Here’s some pics if you’re
interested. I’m thinking around $65 (U.S. shipping incl).

(EDIT: I’m only thinking of selling because I’ve gotten used to my
M&E with inline fingerholes, and now I find the offset fingerholes
offputting. I will probably eventually buy another Tipple with inline
holes, because they’re nifty flutes.)

Hey, neighbor!

I’m about five days late to take you up on this. (Could have picked it up somewhere off the beltline!) Doug got my new flute to me on Friday, and I can’t put it down! (3-piece, offset holes, lip-plate and wedge). I had only owned one D flute before, which I sold because I couldn’t “get it”. This one’s incredible. I immediately transferred my entire whistle repertoire, and have no trouble with fingering, using a slight piper’s grip in the right hand. To think I paid about what a mid-priced whistle costs! Anyone out there who hasn’t tried a Tipple flute, don’t miss your chance!
