Fishing for a Tipple D flute

Hi,

I’m Scott and I’ve been lurking here for a week or so. My interest has been mostly in whistles and now I’d like to venture into flutes a bit. I’ve ordered F and G flutes from Doug Tipple. I caught him in the middle of a move, so I’m still waiting on them. But, I thought I might ask if anyone here has a Tipple D flute (ideally with offset holes) that they’re interested in parting with.

Thanks all! and let me know if you do.

BTW: My mailing address is in the U.S. and I can PayPal (confirmed address in MO).

In the above post Scott mentioned that my flutemaking was in limbo while I moved. Well, my shop is together again, and my new mailing address is:

P.S. Scott I should be able to mail your two flutes today or tomorrow. You should mention that your mailing address is in the USA and not Haiti.

Thanks Doug! I’m looking forward to them. I really wanted a D also, but money is pretty tight right now, so I thought I’d see if anyone was looking to sell one.

Thanks also on the suggestion about my address. I never think about it, but I can certainly see how someone might find it easier doing business with a U.S. based address.

Hi,
I got a Tipple D flute (speckled bore) with a Fajardo-Wedge about a half a year ago. Almost everyone playing Irish flute was impressed by it.
Still a long, long way to go I feel it to be very good choice for someone who wants to try out fluting but does not want to spend a fortune for a wooden one right at the start. Get the wedge in case you buy one! It makes quite a difference.
Doug is also a very kind and pleasant person to deal with!

Got one, check your pm’s. D.
