I went for a blackwood Bleazey with an extra right thumb hole for the F nat.
I should receive it in a few days. I’ll let you know how much recorder-ish sounds!

I for one am curious to hear and hear about this whistle.
I just took delivery today of the Bleazey whistle. It’s exactly what I wanted, a wood whistle that sound and plays as close as possible to a recorder. many thanks to who suggested to look further into his instruments!
I actually tried it side by side with a Swayne that i had on loan by a friend and I like the Bleazey much more. 
I wouldn’t probably like it much to play Irish music though as it doens’t sound like an Irish whistle. I will try to record a clip when I have time for it.
