have a number of whistles for sale as one lot…these were ‘test blown’ on arrival…but have not otherwise been played…all are in first class condition…and all have been acquired from legit dealers in recent months…I just have too many.
Am not keen to split them up…have little spare time…and it would be best for me to sell in the UK where I live.
Dixon low D Aluminium…lovely tone…comfortably easy to play.
Alba low G…a real beauty.
Syn…C/D…two bodies
Burke DBST…speaks for itself
Susato low G…very accurate
Susato high D…again very accurate.
appreciate that you do not want to split them up but have a howard low d already if i went for em. i’d ebay some of them off which wouldn’t be very magnanimous. :boggle very interetsed though in your susato d, would you split despite your opening thoughts. cheers steggy
…just maybe… Could Steggy and I split your whistle collection between us somehow? I could take the low half??
Just a thought. Not sure what Steggy would feel?
Gill, if you and Steggy can reach an agreement, one of you can deal with Les and what you do subsequently need be of no concern to him. I’ve operated with other chiffsters in this way in the past and it goes down well with sellers who still only have to deal with one individual. Nobody minds if the person who pays and the person whose address they get sent to aren’t the same. Why should they?
OK: since there are a few of us interested in sharing, let me offer to be the purchaser (if Les is still interested in selling, and has not already sold elsewhere). If Les goes ahead I will happily sell the spares on to others who are interested, and take care of the packing and postage etc.
I will send Les a PM. Could anyone else who has expressed an interest in the ‘spare’ whistles also send me a PM, containing an email address if possible, and I will get back to you.
Sorry all those who responded…the whistle have been sold as a complete lot…not that I was being awkward but I care full time for a sick wife and couldnt really get involved in splitting them up…but thanks anyway for all your ideas and responses Les.
