I am looking for a complete guide on whistle building. I found “Tin Whistle Builders Anthology” on Jubilee Instruments website. Does anybody have any recommendations/know of any good books? I’m tired of experimenting and failing. NEED KNOWLEDGE! HELP!

About 3/4 down the page are a few online links to whistle making webpages. ![]()
You can always ask your questions here. Many whistlemakers read this forums, and I enjoy reading WTTs (Whistle Tech Talk) too ![]()
Usually, when talking about whistlemaking technical subjects, we use the WTT: prefix in the subject.
I’m learning to make whistles, too ![]()
Good luck!
In A Word “google” you will find a fair bit of good info by doing this.
I use metacrawler.com. I find I get better information without all the google ads.
Checked out metacrawler Nice search tool but any of them will find the info you need. I searched the web for a couple of days and had all the spec’s I needed I am on whistle #34
three quarters of which are low whistles mostly “D” a tip to you new whistle makers that I found helpful work on two piece whistles this way if you mess up the fipple the tone body is still usable. the fipple being the most difficult and time consuming part of your task.another tip go online and look at other whistle makers designs some are easier to construct then the ones you may find in the online instructions save pictures and try a little experimenting with the type of fipple you think will be the easiest for you to produce.
