When your mouse comes out

Mouse with diamonds

Labeled as the most expensive mouse in the world, this limited edition computer peripheral comes with looks that certainly do not do justice to its $25,000 price tag. In fact, it looks like a relic from the early 90s, and even a flower patterned from 59 brilliant cut diamonds (weighing a whole 2 carats) won’t be able to salvage it from the realm of fashion disaster. Other than the bling factor, you get a standard trackback in place of a scroll wheel and an optical sensor. Thanks but no thanks. Have the rich truly run out of ideas on how to spend their money wisely?

WTF?

The Body Mouse has the honor of being
The Creepiest Mouse fearfaoin has ever Seen

no matter how much ya tart 'em up,
they’re STILL gonna cramp yer hand

What is your avatar?

  • A WWII POW eating a soda cracker?
  • A WWII POW eating one of those wax things with the flavored sugar water in it?
  • A WWII POW playing the pan pipes?
  • A mediaeval yeoman eating the pan pipes?

But the question is – do they make one out of bacon?

Close.

I’d say its an Imperial Japanese Naval Pilot eating a matzo.

hmmm…fascinating , isnt it?

youre trying to remember where you ve seen it before…

I gave it a LOT of forethought.

I thought it was a medieval yoeman eating a potholder.

That mouse is the creepiest thing I’ve ever seen. And the diamonds? That’s just creepy in a moral sense.

Have the rich truly run out of ideas on how to spend their money wisely?

That’s an understatement.

Looks like one of those frozen waffles one buys in bulk at Costco…

I agree with cran, tho…needs bacon. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m surprised no one is marketing a Mickey, or a Mighty, or even a Speedy G. They all look like lab mice to me.

youre all SO close…

Pieter Brughel, one of my favourite Northern Rennaisance Painters, created [

“The Gloomy Day”](ImageShack - gloomydayns6.jpg) in 1565, many believe as part of an incomplete series of ‘the months’. (‘Hunters in the snow’ may be a more familiar piece of the series to some). It’s 118 X 113 cm, oil on panel, Vienna, Kunsthistoriches Museum, and also my desktop picture.( I love gloom  )

The painting represents the months of February/March; and typical activities from that time are depicted: gathering sticks for firewood, repairng roofs, playing the hurdy-gurdy, watching your ship sink in a storm, seeing your wheat field submerged underwater, getting drunk and urinating against the tavern wall, breaking into winter wheat stores.

In the lower right corner of the picture, you will see a trio of figures, a child holding a lantern and wearing a Carnival/ Mardi Gras paper crown, a woman dresed in blue holding the childs hand, and a man, wearing white pants and eating a waffle, whilst holding a second waffle aloft. His face is my avatar.

(medieval Japanese WWII flying prisoner with bacon-flavoured potholder/panflute?) reality is such a dissapointment isnt it :stuck_out_tongue:

BTW Walden, as long as Im chuntering on needlessly about this, C&F is a fab site! Ya got a lotta people, some really good musicians, and a great assortment of characters in the pub. (good characters are SO hard to find…) Other forums all I have to do is show up to become some kind of freak magnet, fortunately Iv e only run into one truly creepy freak here in several years. So my compliments to the supreme ever-avatar-changing-chiffmaster! Nuf said.

Incidentally, I despise my mouse. For years Ive been looking for some kind of plug-in PC touchpad I can manipulate with a stylus, alas to no avail. :sniffle:

Thank you, though, in my book, the credit goes to Dale, not only for bringing us the wacky world of Chiff & Fipple, but also for doing so much to make this such a great place. Chiffmaster is more an honorary title, which I don’t really deserve.

Don’t fight over who deserves all the credit. I’ll take it all.

I’m thoughtful like that.

You’re welcome.

Have I ever mentioned that some of you folks are a little wierd?
T

Perish the thought!

OK, it’s dead. I fed it to that finger/mouth mouse above.

burp

Past my bedtime!
