Oh, all right...

(snicker) … give ya somethin’ to talk about on chat, though…

serpent

Aaaaaaaaagh!!!

Runs away screaming.

(Bill, don’t you have to build some whistles or recount your socks or something?)

Shoot. I was hopin’ nobody would post to this one and I could just sit here and chuckle. Worst of it is, I went down and made a new batch of Polly heads with internal slides, then I come back and discovered I missed the damn deletion! Oh, well… TelegramSam sez it was kind of a non-event anyhow… here one minute, gone the next.

Oh, well…

Hey, Jerry, I just realized that avatar of yours is a rodent. If you look at it just right, it resembles a whale!

Cheers,
serp

Ralph comes from a particularly gifted bloodline of Celtic deermice that have a facility for impersonating animals too big for serpents to eat.

Best wishes,
Jerry

Holy smokes Jerry it is a mouse. I thought it was a duck. Very gifted indeed. Reminds me of a horse trader a week or so ago. He was selling a realy big mule and a guy walked up and started talking to him. So he starts selling but the guy said he only had about 4 square feet of space in his yard and my friend says thats ok he can turn himself into a cherry tree. Very gifted mule…

Tom

I love horse traders. I could listen to them all day.

Gee, I thought it was a Whale! Now I see him, and he is darling.
Lolly

I thot it was a whale too.

Whew!! Do I feel better. The first time I saw Jerry’s avatar I thought it was a duck, next time I saw it I thought it was a whale. It was about a week later that I realized it was a mouse. I didn’t want to mention it 'cuz you might think I was demented or sumthin.

What in the world!!! You guys actually thought that was a whale?!? :astonished:

That’s just plain funny!

By the way, Jerry, I think it is (and always was) a beautifully rendered rodent. Is that the full piece or is there more to the painting? Who painted it? Did you? If’in’ you did, you’d better step away from the whistle-tweakin’ devices and start painting!

bob

another for the whale camp. i cant get a duck out of it though

Well actually you’re all right. I guess that means you’re all wrong too.

It’s actually a mouse hitching a lift on a whale.

hey, it can look like a fish, too.

Jerry

Now that I see you are a mouse - I offer one word of advice…

run

The mouse is an interpretation of Ralph that’s the central image of a larger silk painting, done by a friend in Santa Barbara. The rest of the painting is a brightly colored sort of dream landscape.

FFC, et al. do a search on “Ralph” for more background if you’ve come on board since the conclusion of the Ralph saga. Among other things, you’ll find a clip of a lovely, haunting lament written and recorded by Carol Skinner called, “Fairwell to Ralph.” (Carol, I just looked up your link to the clip, and it doesn’t seem to be working any more. Should we forward it to Tony Higgins for SnipsNClips?)

Best wishes,
Jerry

LOL! I’m in the sperm whale camp too! Now that its been pointed out I can see Ralph, but it still takes a mental shift…

yeah, i cant see the whale again now.
could you post a pic of the whole painting, Jerry? looks really cool

The first time I looked at it, I saw “Whale” but then the next, I realized it was a mouse. I just can’t see “duck” though.

All the Best, Tom

Here ya go.

This still isn’t the whole image. That’s all of it that will fit on my scanner.

very nice indeed. thanks

Hey Bob…GO!

no not run away, just a comment on your avatar. I’m a sucker for abstract strategy games
