Jerry's tweaked generation and feadog

Hello everyone.

I have a question about JF tweaked generation and feadog. My question is why does the JF tweaked generation (D) cost more than the tweaked feadog (D)? is this because a lot more work has been done on the generations? The JF generation in D cost almost double of what a tweaked feadog is. Any help would be gladly appreciated. Thank you

That’s exactly right.

Recently, I’ve been able to refine the tweaking scheme for the tweaked Feadog, btw. I’m quite happy with this whistle, and I think it’s a good bargain at $US18.50 suggested retail. I have some in stock, if you would like to get one from me directly.

In general, I prefer a tweaked Mellow Dog over a tweaked Generation (or tweaked Sweetone or tweaked Feadog), if you’re looking for a whistle in D or C. I can provide an additional, C tube with a tweaked Mellow Dog for an additional $5.00. Or, I can send a key of C tweaked Mellow Dog for the same price ($36.50) as the D Mellow Dog.

But, as I said, the tweaked Feadogs are turning out nicely, and I think most people would find them very pleasing. The main difference is, a tweaked Feadog is more “reedy” sounding (complex) and a tweaked Mellow Dog is more “pure/sweet” sounding.

Best wishes,
Jerry

Hi Jerry

Is there a sound file of the new tweaked Feadog, please?

I’ll get one going. It will take a few days. I don’t do them myself.

Best wishes,
Jerry

There are several tunes in Clips and Snips that were done on Freeman tweaked whistles.

Thanks for that reminder about Clips and Snips.

The tweaked Feadogs are coming out somewhat better lately, and I don’t think there are any clips of that particular whistle posted anywhere yet.

Best wishes,
Jerry

Jerry, can you tell me what the picture of your avatar is supossed to be? Maybe everyone else can tell but I’m having a hard time figuring it out. Thanks.

Thank you.

Ha! I had trouble at first too and thought it was just me. But now that I know what it should be, the mouse just pops out. (The mouse is facing right.)

It might help to know that Jerry uses a mouse logo on his whistles.

That’s a portrait of Ralph the Second, one of the founding lights of the Global Pennywhistle Tweaking Research and Production Consortium (GPTR&PC). We owe him so much.

Best wishes,
Jerry

OOOhh, I see it now.Cool. I thought the ear of the mouse was the eye of a whale, and the back of the mouse was the nose of the whale, and he is swimming in the sunset.

It’s a multipurpose avatar.

Some people see a mouse, some see a whale, some see a duck.

Best wishes,
Jerry

I see an inkblot.

I see the whale and the mouse, but no duck. Unless that is a ducks foot the mouse is sitting on. All in all it is very colorful and interesting.

The duck is facing left. Mouse-grey head, blue-green beak.

Best wishes,
Jerry

wow…I only ever saw a whale until now. My narrow perspective has widened.

Cool, now I see the duck. The duck has the same eye as the whale.

Very Zen (or something).

Best wishes,
Jerry

Thanks very much. I can see it now. It’s like one of those 3d pictures of a box that can be looked at from 2 or more different angles. I always thought it was a whale or some kind of wierd octopus.
