At first I thought it was a variation on
Farewell to Erin, but I think it’s a distinct
tune. Tough one.

I don’t have any of my John Doherty recordings here at work, but it sure sounds like one-a-them-thar Donegal highlands that he plays on The Floating Bow or the other recording I can’t recall the name of.

this is tune called ‘low higland’. it is common tune in donegal, specially among fiddle players. marin
