What tune is this?

I took this recording at a concert. It’s an odd file type, but quicktime should be able to handle it without too many issues.

-Thanks

Found it: The Swallow. The Norbeck setting #718 is close to your recording (but in G).

Also, the second tune at the very end of your clip is The Porthole of the Kelp.

Clogger’s Quilt is probably the more common name.

Ah, excellent. There is another Swallow/Ballyket floating about TheSession that is clearly similar or related, but not close enough to cite as an example of this one.

Thanks for the replies. Very helpful forum, this. Digging around the leads MTGuru provided and listening to additional clips, I now realize I have heard this tune before. (I think). It sounds similar to Larry Redigan’s on the Music at Molloy’s CD, though obviously it’s in G when Molloy plays it. Have to say, I think I prefer Caitlin’s rendition in F. Maybe this tune just sits better on the fiddle. Tricky to get a nice flow with all those middle D’s that need to be tongued or cranned or something…
