My question may have slipped under the radar
in the Sean Potts thread so a new thread it is.
On Sean Potts’ new CD ‘Number 6’ track 6 has 2 reels
Jackson’s and Moloney’s.
Jackson’s I don’t know but Moloney’s I’ve heard before
but under a different name I think, and I can’t figure it out.
I’ve checked on the session.org and JCtunefinder but
nothing comes up.
If anyone recognises it please let me know as this is driving
me
There are others, such as the one on one of the Mike and Mary Rafferty’s albums. I’ve not heard Sean’s album so I’m not sure which one it is. Do you have the first few notes?
Hi
Sorry for the silence but I’ve been away on a meditation retreat
for 3 days
I will try and get something in my boxnet acc this evening,
don’t know any other way of doing it really
On Casey in the Cowhouse, a jig otherwise known as Castletown Connors is named the Shores of Loughrea. Maybe we should split Humours and Shores and call the reel the Hoors of Loughrea?
Hi,
Thanks as always for the help
I knew it was familiar but couldn’t find it and there it was
track 1 on Cormac Breathnach’s ‘Music for Whistle & Guitar’
at least I can get sleep now
it is a lovely tune.
