What tune are you obsessive about playing these days?

I have learned “The Last Pint”, just perfecting it now. As of now, I’m trying to learn “Up Sligo”. Bad memory never helped a whistle player…

Star of the County Down

The tune I’ve been playing constantly virtually all year (er, I do eat, sleep, teach, and watch baseball . . .) is L.E. McCullough’s “La Polverita Feria”. (I think I have the name right.) Larry, do you read this board? I LOVE that tune. For those not familiar with it, McCullough did it on a cassette several years back, when he was still living in Austin, and it’s a huapango in 3/8.

I’ve been working constantly on three tunes: Blind Mary, The Blackbird, and The Long Road to Dingle.
