What tune? (again)

Hi all,

at a session in Miltown Malbay last week I heard a wonderful set of reels in G, D and Amixolydian being played and wanted to pick out the tunes. 1 out of 4 is missing, and I wonder if you would be so kind as to help me:

I have been searching tune archives for ABC-patterns a couple of hours and still cant find it. Help! :frowning:

Very difficult to pick the tune out from your recording (understandable given the situation). Perhaps if you just recorded yourself playing it and posted this it would be easier to identify.

That’s sort of it. Hope this helps. (I wish I could say I do this for a living.. I would if I could!)

Well,

I think lesl’s transcription is about as perfect as you can get it!
Is there really no living to make out of this, Lesl? Too bad

Thanks a lot, guys.
Cheers,

Hi,

Check out Marion Egan’s on thesession.org website. It’s the same tune in D sourced from PJ and Marcus Hernon. Good to know there’s an alternate key to watch out for!

That’s encouraging. In fact very inspiring. I am not sure how to do that
but it can’t hurt to try. I’ve put a note on my web page. Thanks Eivind!

It’ll be interesting to see how the requests for tune transcriptions increase as a result.
